﷯Greg is an emerging writer, living in Melbourne, Australia. Having majored in literature and history at Monash University, he currently works for the Victorian Department of Education & Training. With the support of his wife, Sherrie, Greg has pursued his commitment to literary fiction, and his writing endeavours have now reached maturity with the release of Pelsaert's Nightmare, the story of a key participant in the infamous 'Batavia' shipwreck and mutiny. As an unpublished manuscript, the work received critical praise, including its shortlisting in the 2016 First Novel Prize (UK) and as a First Place Category winner in the 2018 Chaucer Book Awards for Pre-1750s Historical Fiction (USA). In June 2021, Pelsaert’s Nightmare won a Gold Medal in the 25th annual Independent Publisher Book Awards in the USA. Known as the IPPYs – and including two non-North American categories – the novel was awarded its honour for Best Regional Fiction in the Australia/New Zealand/Pacific Rim.
